Professor Leanne Norman is Professor of Women in Sport, believed to be the world’s first appointment of its kind, and Director of the Women in Sport Research and Innovation Hub at Loughborough University. She is an internationally recognised expert on women’s experiences in coaching and leadership. Her work explores how organisational cultures, governance and working conditions shape women’s entry, progression and sustainability in coaching, particularly in high-performance settings. Leanne has led major national and international research programmes with governing bodies, international federations and advocacy organisations, translating evidence into practical insight to support more inclusive, supportive and sustainable coaching environments for women.
