The International Working Group on Women and Sport (IWG) has today unveiled the first confirmed speakers for the IWG Global Summit 2026, bringing together senior global leaders from sport, business, research, governance and social impact for the world’s leading forum on gender equity in sport and physical activity.

The 8th IWG Conference took place in Auckland in 2022, welcoming nearly 1,200 delegates from across the globe. It was a hugely successful gathering that inspired action, forged new collaborations, and amplified diverse voices on the world stage. Here’s a chance to hear directly from some of the speakers and delegates as they share their reflections and experiences during the event.

A long-standing leader in international sport, Annamarie Phelps has been a powerful advocate for equality, integrity, and collaboration across the sporting landscape. With decades of experience at the highest levels of governance, she brings both authority and vision to the global conversation on women and girls in sport. Annmarie describes the Summit as an “unmissable” opportunity to unite global voices and drive lasting change for women and girls in sport.
